Dr Jeevan Marasinghe is an experienced obstetrician, gynaecologist, and laparoscopic surgeon with over 20 years of experience in women’s health. His private practice is based in Box Hill and Waverley Private Hospital in Melbourne. He also holds public appointments at Eastern Health (Box Hill, Angliss, Blackburn) and Mercy Health.

About Dr Jeevan Marasinghe
Dr Jeevan Marasinghe has over 20 years of experience caring for women throughout their lives. Known for his kind and approachable nature, he works closely with each patient to understand their individual needs and preferences.
Jeevan began his medical training in Sri Lanka, where he completed his undergraduate degree and specialist qualifications in obstetrics and gynaecology. He went on to gain further clinical and academic experience in the United Kingdom, becoming a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He later completed his specialist training at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne and became a Fellow of both the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG).
He is also a member of distinguished women’s health organisations including the World Endometriosis Society, Australian Gynaecological Endoscopic Society (AGES), Australian Medical Association (AMA), Society of Endometriosis and Uterine Disorders, and the Sri Lankan College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
His practice focuses on clear communication, evidence based care, and supporting women to make confident, informed choices. Jeevan has a special interest in keyhole surgeries including complex laparoscopic surgeries for endometriosis, laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic myomectomy (and adenomyomectomies), and robotic surgeries.
